The Procurement Technical Assistance Center
The Procurement Technical Assistance Center (PTAC) of Delaware was established in 1999 under the umbrella of the Delaware Small Business Development Center (SBDC) that offers a wide range of business assistance to small firms in the state. Funded by the U.S. Department of Defense and the Delaware Economic Development Office, the PTAC of Delaware offers free resources to small Delaware businesses wanting to grow their sales in the public sector with federal, state and local government entities.
The Procurement Technical Assistance Center of Delaware and the Delaware SBDC are affiliated with the University of Delawares Alfred Lerner College of Business and Economics, Delaware State University and the Delaware Community and Technical College. Small businesses, having a successful performance record in the commercial marketplace and wishing to initiate or expand their marketing efforts to government and large corporate buyers, can call on the PTAC of Delaware for resource assistance. Business advisors help entrepreneurs develop business plans, pin point and solve problems, locate and apply for capital, brainstorm new strategies in order to compete more effectively in today’s economy.
